Matriarch Genetics Ltd is a farmer-led company committed to driving accelerated genetic gain and enhancing genetic diversity within the New Zealand dairy industry. Established in 2020, our company is run under a cooperative model and is made up of more than 50 dedicated dairy farmer breeders from across the country, proudly representing all major New Zealand dairy breeds.

Our mission is simple: to deliver superior bovine genetics by farmers, for farmers. We provide a collaborative platform to identify and promote top-performing genetics, increase marketing opportunities and returns for bull breeders, and encourage open genetic exchange without IP constraints. Through shared genomic data and collective decision-making, we aim to optimise genetic progress for the benefit of the entire dairy sector.
