Given that the 2025/26 dairy season has just begun, I thought it was timely to celebrate 100yrs of our families continuous breeding of registered jersey cattle.

My great grandfather registered his first cow in 1926 (which makes me 4th generation).

Unfortunately none of the original families are still in our herd due to the Willersden dispersal in 2001 & us selling 2 herds to achieve farm ownership.

The Willersden herd started in Rockville, Golden Bay and them moved to Te Awamutu in 1972, we purchased a core of cows from my parents & moved to Rotorua for 6 yrs, took them to Westport to our first farm, then moved them to Nelson for our next farm & then transported them all the way back to the Waikato 10 yrs ago.
